Ecotherapy is the name given to a wide range of treatment programmes which aim to improve your mental and physical wellbeing through being outside in nature.
Connecting with nature in this way can have lots of positive health benefits.
For example, Ecotherapy can help you manage an existing issue and could help prevent future periods of ill health, such as an episode of depression.
You can use Ecotherapy on its own, or alongside other services I offer.
The great benefit here is that it is conducted outdoors, whether this is walking, running, or simply taking a break and sitting in the fresh air.
The pace is completely client led, although if running it will be at a slow conversational pace.
The point of the session is to talk and the outdoor setting plus gentle exercise element facilitates this.
We'll combine a talking therapy session with the benefits of being outdoors and moving.
The outdoor setting and the movement facilitates deeper conversation and helps the client get a sense of ‘moving forwards’ to addressing whatever issues they bring to the work.
Green Exercise Therapy is for anyone who would maybe wish to have a counselling ear to listen to them but feels they could benefit from a relaxed outdoor setting.
We'll move forward side by side, working together to address whatever issues have been flagged.
